LARA – Der Deutsche Games Award
LARA – Der Deutsche Games Award is a prize which started as an initiative by the specialist magazine GamesMarkt. From 2011 onwards, the LARA Awards will be presented at the LARA NIGHT, a joint event hosted by G+J Entertainment Media GmbH & Co. KG and the Deutscher Computerspielpreis. The venue for this festive evening event will be the Haus der Kunst in Munich. LARA – Der Deutsche Games Award is presented in the categories of Best International Computer Game, Best International Console Game and Best International Mobile Game. The LARA of Honour is awarded to a national or international personality from the computer and video game industry.
Motivation
The joint presentation is an ideal collaboration from the point of view of the organisers since it raises the profile of the two fully independent awards. Both prizes will henceforth be presented at a common event, but will remain tied to their respective brands, promotions and objectives in every way.
